On April 13, 2025, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Pet Science Innovation Class of the School of Animal Sciences of South China Agricultural University was grandly held at the College Sports Science and Technology Forum. More than 100 people including college leaders, business representatives, teacher and student representatives gathered together to witness this important moment. With the theme of "Integration of Industry and Education, Collaborative Education", the ceremony demonstrated the innovative model of talent training in the field of pet science through school-enterprise cooperation awarding, appointment of off-campus tutors, scholarship awarding and unveiling of research institutes.
